The Mission of Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption (DPA) is to reflect Christ’s redeeming love by transforming the lives of children, empowering women in unplanned pregnancies, creating families through adoption, and supporting all with counseling and guidance throughout their journey.
Founded December 31, 1900 on the unsettled plains of Indian Territory, DPA (originally known as the Home of Redeeming Love) has been empowering children, women, and families to reach their fullest potential for more than one hundred years. Despite societal changes and cultural shifts, the founder’s pioneering spirit continues to impact lives in a positive way. More than 12,000 expectant parents have been helped and over 5,500 families created via adoption. DPA is the premier, care-oriented adoption agency in the Oklahoma City area, serving all of Oklahoma and beyond.
The Mission of Open Arms Clinic is to restore health, hope and dignity to the uninsured through high quality, Christ-centered medical care.
What started in 1993 as a one-night-a-week volunteer free clinic in a small Free Methodist Church in northwest Oklahoma City, is now a full time, charitable primary care clinic with a number of paid staff and volunteer medical professionals who provide healthcare to low-income, uninsured residents in and around the Oklahoma City metro area. Partnerships with individuals and organizations in the community assist Open Arms Clinic in being a full-service medical home to almost 1,600 patients. In 2015, Open Arms Clinic provided over 4,500 medical visits and helped many patients receive no-cost prescriptions through pharmaceutical company prescription assistance programs. Open Arms Clinic receives support from the Butterfield Memorial Foundation, as well as, from private donors, grants, and other fundraising efforts.
