P raise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.  2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

What We're About

Butterfield Memorial Foundation is committed to providing empowering multifaceted support to Christian non-profit organizations whose initiative addresses health and medical needs for the under served. Because the challenges of each organization vary, we offer support in a variety of ways.

Our Mission

The Butterfield Memorial Foundation is  a Christian charitable organization serving the health needs of the community in harmony with the tenets of the Free Methodist Church of North America.

Current Priority Areas of Giving

Addressing the health needs of the underserved primarily through local Christian free clinics
Addressing the nursing shortage by providing nursing scholarships to Christian Universities in the U.S.
Addressing spiritual needs as an essential element to overall well-being

These areas of priority align with continuing the legacy of Christian care first cultivated by the Deaconess ladies and further developed at Deaconess Hospital.

We have identified for our Fall 2010 grant cycle projects that are in harmony with our priority areas of giving.  We will therefore, not accept unsolicited applications for funding during this time.  Please revisit our website near year-end for updates about Spring 2011 opportunities.
